TII National Speed Limit Review
Client: Transport Infrastructure Ireland
TOBIN was appointed under an exis琀椀ng TII Framework
Agreement, as one of two teams working in parallel on the
Review on the Na琀椀onal Road network across the country.
Scope of services included:
•Project Administra琀椀on •Review of the 12 number
coun琀椀es speed limits •Developed methodology and
process for speed limit review •Processed and assessed
exis琀椀ng geometry and current speed limits
•Managing third par琀椀es carrying out speed surveys
R498 Road Realignment at Latteragh
Client: Tipperary County Council
The exis琀椀ng R498 at La琀琀eragh is a single carriageway
sec琀椀on which follows the contours around the
La琀琀eragh hills, adjacent to the meanders in the
Nenagh River. This has led to the road having a
substandard cross-sec琀椀on and has resulted in
numerous collisions. TOBIN has developed the scheme
in accordance with Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII)
publica琀椀on Project Management Guidelines (PMG)
through Phases 2-4.
