Brownstown Solar and Storage Park

This project included a 50 MW solar farm and 50
MW Ba琀琀ery Energy Storage System (BESS) on an
area of approximately 112 hectares. It also included
a new onsite 110 kV substa琀椀on. TOBIN secured a
10-year planning permission for this project with an
opera琀椀onal period of 40 years.
The TOBIN Ecology Team prepared a Natura Impact
Statement for the project and assisted with the
prepara琀椀on of the Planning and Environmental
Considera琀椀on Report, focusing on the Biodiversity
Sec琀椀on.
The TOBIN Ecology Team also prepared a
Biodiversity Enhancement Plan which recommended
the establishment of various enhancement measures
around the site which would result in a posi琀椀ve net
gain in habitats and bene昀椀t wildlife within the area.
