Who we are
TOBIN’s Urban Regenera琀椀on Team covers a broad range of project types
from large scale assignments (overhauls of en琀椀re town centres) to smaller
undertakings for speci昀椀c streets, laneways and public facili琀椀es. A large por琀椀on
of our work stems from URDF, RRDF and Town Centre First Funded ini琀椀a琀椀ves.
A high quality public realm is essen琀椀al in crea琀椀ng a sense of place which
people can visit, live and work, resul琀椀ng in an improved quality of life. As well
as providing such space, a public realm plays a key part in a city’s iden琀椀ty and
character, crea琀椀ng a space where streets and spaces are dis琀椀nc琀椀ve.
A good quality, well considered public realm plays a major role in a posi琀椀ve
user experience, encouraging return visits while o昀昀ering clear bene昀椀ts to the
local economy.
It is therefore very important to con琀椀nue to develop public realm strategies
and to invest in the urban environment in order to ensure that a coherent,
walkable city centre, which allows for ease of movement and is invi琀椀ng to
