Works consist of the provision of enhanced public
realm to include upgrades to hard landscaping, new
street furniture, signage, removal of overhead u琀椀li琀椀es,
improved public ligh琀椀ng, on-street spill out areas, for
bars and restaurants, provision of loading bays, cycle
parking upgraded bus stop facili琀椀es, street trees and
green areas with pollinator friendly plan琀椀ng along with
other ancillary works.

The aim of this masterplan is to set out a clear vision
and an enabling framework for the future direc琀椀on
of the town’s development, encompassing ‘placemaking’, town centre living, the social and economic
purpose of the town, the reac琀椀va琀椀on of key sites as
well as addressing vacancy and derelic琀椀on within the
town centre.
