Coran Kelly, Technical Director / Senior Hydrogeologist
Coran leads and manages a talented team of geologists and hydrogeologists within a diverse Environment and Planning division. He has an extensive
track record in groundwater resources characterisa琀椀on and mapping, and groundwater protec琀椀on in Ireland. He has worked with Geological Survey
Ireland, Uisce Éireann, Environmental Protec琀椀on Agency, the Na琀椀onal Federa琀椀on of Group Water Schemes, and the Local Authority Services Na琀椀onal
Training Group.
John Dillon, Associate Director
John has worked with TOBIN since 2006, having previously worked in Komex Worley Parsons in Dublin and the UK. He holds a master’s degree in
environmental engineering from Imperial College, London. He is an accredited Professional Geologist (PGeo) and is currently on the board of the
Ins琀椀tute of Geologists of Ireland (IGI). He is a specialist in soils, geology and water, par琀椀cularly in the areas of soil contamina琀椀on and groundwater
development. John applies his specialist knowledge, skills and techniques to bring a wide variety of projects, including water services, extrac琀椀ve
industry projects, renewables, commercial and residen琀椀al developments and large infrastructural projects, to successful conclusions.
Damien Doherty, Associate Hydrogeologist
Damien holds the posi琀椀on of Associate Hydrogeologist with TOBIN’s Environment and Planning sec琀椀on. Damien graduated with an MSc in
Hydrogeology from Newcastle University. He has been working professionally in hydrogeology for over 10 years and has extensive na琀椀onal 昀椀eld
experience in various aspects of soil logging, karst hydrogeological tracing and hydrogeological assessment. Damien is a professional member (PGeo)
of the Ins琀椀tute of Geologists of Ireland (IGI) and a member of the Interna琀椀onal Associa琀椀on of Hydrogeologists (Irish Group).
