TOBIN was appointed by the Geological Survey Ireland
to carry out a regional assessment of the groundwater
poten琀椀al within 13 catchments in the Shannon-Corrib
region of central and western Ireland. The assessments
develop an ini琀椀al hydrogeological conceptual model
for each catchment and provide a basis for priori琀椀sing
further inves琀椀ga琀椀on into groundwater resources.

Loca琀椀on: Co. Mayo
TOBIN was appointed by the Geological Survey
Ireland to carry out a hydrogeological assessment
of Lough Carra as part of the EU LIFE project that
aims to protect this unique marl habitat in Co. Mayo.
TOBIN is carrying out karst feature mapping, mul琀椀ple
dye traces and groundwater monitoring to establish
the groundwater 昀氀ow paths and contribu琀椀on to the
lake.
