Who we are
TOBIN has extensive experience of comple琀椀ng Flood Risk Assessments on a wide variety of residen琀椀al, commercial and infrastructural projects.
Our experienced team is responsible for carrying out Hydraulic Modelling to quan琀椀fy the risk of 昀氀ooding to exis琀椀ng/proposed developments.
Where parts of a proposed site or an exis琀椀ng development carry a risk of 昀氀ooding, our team can propose measures to mi琀椀gate against this risk.
These measures may involve adjus琀椀ng the layout of the proposed development to move sensi琀椀ve elements outside / above the 昀氀ood level, or
the construc琀椀on of hard/so昀琀 engineering defences.
The Planning System and Flood Risk Management Guidelines
A Flood Risk Assessment is carried out over 3 stages:
• Iden琀椀昀椀ca琀椀on of poten琀椀al sources of 昀氀ood risk
• Appraisal of 昀氀ood risk based on exis琀椀ng informa琀椀on/models
• Site speci昀椀c hydraulic modelling.
