This project included a 50MW solar
farm and 50 MW Ba琀琀ery Energy
Storage System (BESS) on an area
of approximately 112 hectares. It
also included a new onsite 110kV
substa琀椀on. TOBIN secured a 10year planning permission for this
project with an opera琀椀onal period
of 40 years.

Ardnehue Solar Farm
Loca琀椀on: Co. Carlow
This project included a 10MW
solar farm on an area of
approximately 17.6 hectares. It
also included a new onsite 38kV
substa琀椀on. TOBIN secured a
10-year planning permission for
this project with an opera琀椀onal
period of 30 years.

managing post planning compliance
works for 9 Irish solar projects. We
also secured exempted development
cer琀椀昀椀cates (Sec琀椀on 5 Declara琀椀ons)
for the grid connec琀椀ons for many of
the solar farms listed above.
Mountmellick Solar Farm
Loca琀椀on: Co. Laois
Planning permission was granted
for the 4.2MVA Mountmellick Solar
Farm, comprising photovoltaic
panels on ground-mounted frames
and all associated ancillary works, in
Co. Laois in 2016. TOBIN managed
the planning and environmental
assessments for the applica琀椀on,
including ecological, landscape,
hydrogeological and tra昀케c
assessments.
