Planning permission was
granted for the 4MW
Goresbridge Solar Farm,
Kilkenny in 2016. TOBIN
managed the planning and
environmental assessments
for the applica琀椀on, including
ecological, landscape,
hydrogeological and tra昀케c
assessments.
Environment & Planning CAPABILITY STATEMENT
TOBIN were successfully
commissioned by Elgin
Energy to provide planning
and environmental
services, including detailed
archaeological assessments,
for the Ballyragget Solar
Farm, Co. Kilkenny.
This project included a
50MW solar farm and 30
MW Ba琀琀ery Energy Storage
System (BESS) on an area
of approx. 68.8 hectares. It
also included a new onsite
110kV substa琀椀on. TOBIN
secured a 10-year planning
permission for this project
with an opera琀椀onal period
of 35 years.
TOBIN completed the
Planning Applica琀椀on and all
associated documents for
this 4MW solar farm which
comprises of photovoltaic
panels on ground
mounted frames and 4
no. single storey inverter/
transformer sta琀椀ons.
