Social - School Visits
TOBIN employees actively engage with local schools, colleges, and universities
as part of our commitment to community involvement and education.
In 2025, several team members visited local primary and secondary
schools to support initiatives such as STEPS Engineers Week and Science
Week, helping to inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists.
As part of STEPS Engineers Week Dr. Aristotelis Tegos visited Greystones
Community College to share his expertise in 昀氀ood and dam engineering with
students.
Viswas Kutty visited Castleknock Educate Together National School as part of the
Young Engineers Award initiative, organised by Engineers Ireland.
For Science Week 2025, John Sherry visited Ashbourne Educate Together National
School, where he shared insights into Ireland's birdlife and helped the students identify
some of the common species they might spot in their gardens or around the school
yard. John Staunton also visited Clontfert College in Ballinasloe to discuss climate
change and renewable energy.
These engagements re昀氀ect TOBIN’s ongoing dedication to fostering curiosity,
learning, and career awareness among young people. By sharing their knowledge
and real-world experiences, our employees help bridge the gap between education
and industry, making STEM subjects more accessible and engaging. We are proud
to support initiatives that encourage students to explore future opportunities in
engineering, science, and environmental disciplines.
