Impact on Local Communities
TOBIN sta昀昀 regularly get involved with local Schools, Colleges and Universities through
initiatives such as the Engineers Ireland STEPS which inspires and encourages younger
generations to consider engineering as a career and promote the uptake of STEM subjects
(Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics).
Our Team discussed what Engineering is and an insight of the type of Engineering they
do, gave an insightful presentation and gave the children challenges to work together
as a team. TOBIN had 3 STEPS ambassadors who visited 2 schools, as well as some
of our members who visited schools across Ireland for Science Week and for the Young
Engineers Award Initiative, organised by Engineers Ireland.
We are looking forward to the 2024 Social value, which is an area for us which we intend
to grow as we adopt the government policy in this regard.
