If travel is necessary, then TOBIN asks that public transport should be considered
where it is available. TOBIN o昀昀ers a tax saving ticket to all employees for using
public transport at a reduced rate.

Carbon Life Cycle Assessment Software
TOBIN have invested in industry-leading Carbon Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
software (OneClickLCA®) which enables the development and comparison of designs
that minimize the carbon footprint of our designs through all phases of a project, from
the product stage, through construction and operation, to end of life/decommissioning.
This tool allows TOBIN to prepare for anticipated step changes in the approach to
carbon reduction, including the implementation of Green Public Procurement (GPP)
in all tenders using public funds. Using this software, we advise clients on the choice
of material to minimize embodied carbon and can generate reports summarizing the
carbon footprint of a range of design options. This allows clients to meet their carbon
reduction targets under the Climate Action Plan.
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is incorporated into ISO14000 (as ISO 14040/14044),
and the software is fully compliant with the methodology for Life Cycle Assessment
set out in PAS2080 Carbon Management in Buildings and Infrastructure. This software
draws on a worldwide database of over 150,000 construction products to estimate the
embodied carbon in a design, which is the carbon footprint (in tCO2e) of the product
stage (A1-3) and construction stage (A4-5) of a project. To demonstrate the bene昀椀ts
of carbon assessment in our designs, we prepare Carbon Assessment Reports for
clients.
