TOBIN Sustainability
TOBIN Core Value: Sustainability
Sustainability is one of TOBIN’s 昀椀ve Core Values. These Core Values are an expression
of who and what we are. They are the professional principles and behaviours which
de昀椀ne our Company and how we interact with our clients, our stakeholders and each
other.
Our Core Values have been engrained
in our business through decades of
careful delivery of engineering and
environmental services. Each of our
Core Values is placed on an equal
footing within our Company and is
championed by a senior person in
the Company who takes primary
responsibility for setting measurable
goals which are designed to show
continuous improvement.
UN Sustainable Development Goals
Our Sustainability Core Value is founded on the UN Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs).
These 17 SDGs were adopted by Member States in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for
Sustainable Development which provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity
for people and the planet, now and into the future. These Sustainable Development
Goals are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a
global partnership. They recognise that ending poverty and other deprivations must
go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality,
and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve
our oceans and forests. Ireland has published a second Sustainable Development
Goals National Implementation Plan 2022-2024 to provide a whole-of-government
approach to implementing these goals. As such our environmental policy incorporates
a sustainability framework based on the UN SDGs in so far as they are applicable to
our various activities and services.
Our focus areas align with the following United Nations Sustainable Development
Goals (UN SDGs).
