Impact on Local Communities
TOBIN employees regularly get involved with local Schools, Colleges and Universities
through initiatives such as the Engineers Ireland STEPS which inspires and encourages
younger generations to consider engineering as a career and promote the uptake of
STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics).
Our Team discussed what Engineering is and an insight of the type of Engineering they
do, gave an insightful presentation and gave the students challenges to work together
as a team. In 2024, TOBIN had 3 STEPS ambassadors who visited 3 schools, as well
as 2 of our members who visited schools across Ireland for Science Week and for the
Young Engineers Award Initiative, organised by Engineers Ireland.
